Canon Super Zoom

Canon today introduces new super zoom model, SX1 IS and SX 10 IS.

SX1 IS
This camera has features including a 10 Megapixel, 1/2.3-inch CCD, DIGIC 4 Image Processor, 20x optical zoom lens with a shift-type optical Image Stabilizer (IS) system and 2.8-inch widescreen LCD monitor with wide viewing angle. It uses 4 AA batteries to shoot up to approx. 160 images (based on the CIPA standard when the LCD monitor is on), and SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, MultiMediaCards, MMCplus cards and HC MMCplus cards for the recording media. Images are utilized with a direct print compatible printer, computer and TV via Hi-Speed USB. The dimensions (excluding protrusions) of the main body are 127.5 x 88.3 x 87.7 mm (5.0 x 3.5 x 3.5 in.) and the weight is approximately 585 g (20.6 oz.).

SX10 IS
This camera has features including a 10 Megapixel, 1/2.3-inch CCD, DIGIC 4 Image Processor, 20x optical zoom lens with a shift-type optical Image Stabilizer (IS) system and 2.5-inch LCD monitor with wide viewing angle. It uses 4 AA batteries to shoot up to approx. 340 images (based on the CIPA standard when the LCD monitor is on), and SD memory cards, SDHC memory cards, MultiMediaCards, MMCplus cards and HC MMCplus cards for the recording media. Images are utilized with a direct print compatible printer, computer and TV via Hi-Speed USB. The dimensions (excluding protrusions) of the main body are 124.0 x 88.3 x 86.9 mm (4.9 x 3.5 x 3.4 in.) and the weight is approximately 560 g (19.8 oz.).
